Founded in 1993 by Maurice Thal and George Phillips, Raicom started trading from home offices in Noordhoek and Constantia. After a few years of trading it was apparent that the wheel had started turning and that it was impossible to manage a growing business from home offices. We took the plunge and moved into what we thought were huge commercial premises above the drop inn, Main road, Diep River. Within 2 years we outgrew the space and had to rent additional warehousing across the passage.
